Going green
Our philosophy is rooted in intelligent and innovative design, which we believe is key in working towards a greener and more sustainable future. Our sustainable practice is ever-evolving and we are committed to doing what we can to ensure environmental responsibility throughout our design and manufacturing processes. We received our first Winning Award of "Green Business of the Year" in 2002 and we have been gaining multiple awards and developing our eco-conscious work ever since.
BUILT TO LAST
We create furniture that is truly built to last, through timeless and innovative design. All bespoke kitchens are manufactured in our workshop and often hand-painted, making the furniture possible to repaint time and time again. All of our kitchens include a 30 year guarantee.
LOCAL SUPPLIERS
We are committed to working alongside responsible suppliers who are also aware of their own environmental impact. We use locally sourced materials in order to reduce our carbon footprint, with an emphasis on natural materials such as wood (sourced from local timber yards) being central to our designs. Cloisters support local and trusted small businesses and tradespeople.
REFORESTATION
For every kitchen sold at Cloisters, we plant a tree. Together with The National Forest, we are committed to ethical practice and sustainable reforestation. We aim to make a positive environmental impact and support the transformation of the forest economy.
MINIMUM WASTE
Due to the nature of our designs being predominantly Bespoke, we are consciously generating less waste. We always recycle and reuse materials or off-cuts where possible, reducing our contribution to landfill. Whether it is in our office spaces, workshops or showrooms, recycling is an integral practice within our work.
FREE EV CHARGING
We offer complimentary on-site EV charging for your vehicle at any of our showrooms. Pop in and charge while you browse or during a design meeting! We do recommend booking an appointment prior to your visit to ensure we can be available to assist you.
ELECTRIC VEHICLES
We use all electric vehicles at Cloisters, from the design teams' cars at the showroom to the fitters' vans and our furniture delivery vans too.
